Business and Computer Pathway

Technical assistants work in a wide range of industries, and offer technological support to each organization's employees so that the business has the ability to deliver its products and services. Tasks can include configuring hardware and software, especially for new employees, and installing peripherals such as printers and routers.  Many fill in at a help desk and assist users directly on network, software, and communication issues, and repair or refurbish equipment when taken out of use or upgraded.
